Purpose

The zimbraAllowAnyFromAddress attribute can permit users to send email on behalf of someone else. The steps to enable or disable this feature are shown below.

Resolution

Enable or disable the zimbraAllowAnyFromAddress from CLI The zimbraAllowAnyFromAddress can be configured on the account or in COS.

Examples to enable, disable or set to null in account so it inherits the value from the accounts COS shown below:

zmprov ma admin@domain.com zimbraAllowAnyFromAddress TRUE
zmprov ma admin@domain.com zimbraAllowAnyFromAddress FALSE
zmprov ma admin@domain.com zimbraAllowAnyFromAddress ""

To enable or disable it in COS

zimbra@zimbra-sn-u14-10:~$ zmprov mc default zimbraAllowAnyFromAddress TRUE
zimbra@zimbra-sn-u14-10:~$ zmprov mc default zimbraAllowAnyFromAddress FALSE

Enable or disable the zimbraAlloAnyFromAddress from Admin Console Enable, disable or empty it in Account
