Zimbra Desktop 2.0 Beta 3 Release Notes

This is the third beta release of Zimbra Desktop 2.0. We have fixed about 100 ZD specific bugs since previous beta 2 release. Here are some of the highlights:

  • Improved search performance, especially for large mailboxes.
  • Improved IMAP sync - it's faster, more efficient and supports fetching new messages while doing initial sync.
  • Much improved address auto-completion - faster and more accurate.
  • Switching locales from "Preferences..." now is persistent across restarts.
  • Added the support for install/uninstall zimlets from UI. (unfortunately most zimlets on Zimlet Gallery today are still not yet ZD compatible)
  • Improved new-message notification on Mac and Windows. It can now display how many new messages since last sync. It also indicates which accounts have new messages.
  • Added support for shared sub-folders.
  • Added support for "Save Image As..." in HTML messages.
  • Fixed account renaming problem with non-ZCS accounts.
  • Fixed the problem of invite acceptance mail showing "local@host.local" as sender.
