Description
This zimlet shows how to include a JAR file with your zimlet and call custom Java classes from a JSP.
Definition File
<zimlet name="com_zimbra_javajarexample" version="1.0" description="An example zimlet with a JAR file."> <include>javajarexample.js</include> <handlerObject>com_zimbra_javajarexampleHandlerObject</handlerObject> <zimletPanelItem label="Java w/JAR Example" icon="zimbraIcon"> <toolTipText>Click to launch the JAR Example</toolTipText> </zimletPanelItem> </zimlet>
Handler Object
The following code snippet from the Handler Object calls the JSP page using a new window:
/** * Displays the zimlet jsp page. * */ com_zimbra_javajarexampleHandlerObject.prototype._displayDialog = function() { var jspUrl = this.getResource("jspfile.jsp"); window.open(jspUrl, "toolbar=yes, location=yes, status=yes, menubar=yes, scrollbars=yes, resizable=yes"); };
JSP File
The JSP file imports the custom Java classes (from the package com.zimbra.zimlet.example
). A method is called on MyClass
and the string is printed to the JSP output.
<%@ page language="java" import="com.zimbra.zimlet.example.*" %> <% String s = MyClass.getString(); %> Hello World! <b><%=s%></b>
