The following guide contains instructions for using your Nokia E-series phone to access your Zimbra mail. Mobility options for the Nokia E-series include:

  • Zimbra Mobile Web Client
  • (Unsupported) Roadsync for Exchange with Zimbra Mobile

These options offer different levels of access and synchronization. All Nokia E-series users will be able to access their mail, contacts, and calendar using Zimbra Mobile Web Client, regardless of whether their ZCS deployment is Open Source or Network Edition. Other mobility options, such as over-the-air (OTA) synchronization or push email, depend on what model of Sony Ericsson is being used and what type of ZCS deployment is being accessed (Open Source or Network Edition).

If you are attempting to use a Self-Signed SSL Certificate, see the Nokia E-Series with Self-Signed SSL Certificate guide instead.

Accessing ZCS using Zimbra Mobile Web Client

All devices with an HTML-compatible browser can access Zimbra email, contacts, calendar, and briefcase using the Zimbra Mobile Web Client.

To use the Zimbra Mobile Web Client, open the HTML-compatible browser (the Safari icon on your iPhone) on your phone and type in the URL of your Zimbra Server with a /m/ at the end of the URL. For example:

http://domain.servername.com/zimbra/m/

Unsupported: Accessing Zimbra Mail using Nokia Mail for Exchange

This method should work with the following Nokia models:

  • Nokia E90
  • Nokia E71
  • Nokia E65
  • Nokia E62
  • Nokia E61
  • Nokia E51

Before You Begin

Before you can sync your Nokia phone with your Zimbra mail, you will need to download and install the latest version of the Nokia Mail for Exchange software. You can find this software at one of the following links:

Important: The current version of Mail for Exchange for the S60 ( 2.9.158 ) is broken for the E65 and E71 variants. Symptoms include partial downloads of large contact databases, and "hangs" / immediate disconnects when trying to sync. The new version (2.9.208) is working on the E71 but heartbeat problems are still there for the 'always on' mode. Consider RoadSync as an alternative for the e71.
