Dropbox integration end user guide
- This article is a Work in Progress, and may be unfinished or missing sections.
This integration offers you the opportunity to connect your Dropbox account to Zimbra so that you may save and share files from your Dropbox.
Activate the Dropbox Zimlet
- Click on the Settings (gear icon) button.
- Select Settings.
- Click on Dropbox Integration.
- Click on the Activate button to activate Dropbox.
- Sign In to your Dropbox account.
- Click on the Allow button to authorize access to your Dropbox account from Zimbra.
- Click on the Save button.
Save All Attachments to your Dropbox
- Click on the 'Save to Dropbox' link.
- Sign in to your Dropbox account, if requested.
- Click on the 'Save' button to save all attachments to Dropbox.
- If you would like to exclude some attachments, click the selected link at the bottom, and then select 'Remove'.
- A message will display indicating that you successfully saved your attachments to Dropbox.
Save An Attachment to your Dropbox
- Hover over the attachment you would like to save and click the download icon.
- Select Dropbox from the list of download locations.
- Sign In to your Dropbox account, if requested.
- Click on the Save button to save the attachment to your Dropbox.
- A message will display indicating that you successfully saved your attachment to Dropbox.
Attaching a file from Dropbox
- Click the Attachments icon and select 'Attach files from Dropbox'.
- Choose the 'Select files to attach' option to add the files as attachments in your email message.
- Sign In to your Dropbox account, if requested.
- Choose the file or files you would like to attach by selecting the checkbox next to each document; then click 'Choose.'
- Compose your message and click the Send button.
Link to a file on Dropbox

How to send large files via Dropbox
- Click the Attachments icon and select Attach from my Computer.
- Select the file you want to attach and click Open.
- Select Dropbox from the presented options.
- Sign In to your Dropbox account, if requested.
- Click Save in the Dropbox window to save your file to be shared from Dropbox.
- The Inserting Link window will appear while the file is being saved to your Dropbox. Once completed, the link will appear in your email message
- Compose your message and click the Send button.
Re-enable the Dropbox Zimlet (troubleshooting)
- If you cannot see the Dropbox settings, you may need to re-enable your Zimlet.
- Click on the Settings button.
- Click on Settings.
- Click on Add-ons (Zimlets).
- Select the checkbox for com_zimbra_x-dropbox.
- Click on the Save button.
- A message will display asking you to reload. Click the RELOAD NOW link.
