Change user and admin web console session idle time out

Purpose

How do we change user and admin web console session idle time out?

Resolution

Using the Admin Console

COS > Advanced > Timeout Policy:

Using CLI

To do the same via CLI, the three attributes are:

• zimbraAdminAuthTokenLifetime
• zimbraAuthTokenLifetime
• zimbraMailIdleSessionTimeout

The three can be set at the COS or account level:

zmprov mc default zimbraAdminAuthTokenLifetime 2d

or

zmprov ma user@example.com zimbraAdminAuthTokenLifetime 2d

The valid time duration format is: {digits}{time-unit}. While digits are : 0-9, and time-unit are: [hmsd]|ms. See the detailed info: h - hours, m - minutes, s - seconds, d - days, ms - milliseconds.
